If anyone needed a reminder of the level of talent within Australian surfing, then need look no further than recent results. Here is an overview of how the NSW North Coast surfers are representing the region on the world surfing stage.
* 2010 will see 5 north coast surfers competing in the ASP dream surfing tour – Mick Fanning (Tweed Heads), Kieren Perrow (Suffolk Park), Owen Wright (Lennox Head), Adam Melling (Lennox Head) and Dan Ross (Yamba).
* The 2009 Womens world title and Triple Crown event was taken out by Australian 2 time champion Stephanie Gilmore who hails from Kingscliff.
Sure, we are only a couple of days into the new year but I am getting pumped for the start of the 2010 ASP surf season. I’m especially looking forward to see how giant killing Owen Wright performs in his maiden year and also watch Adam Melling surprise a few competitors with his power surfing.

maybe you should check out the latest results from the nationals…..Werri beach/south coast took out 1st in the finals at D-bah last week. Rock it south style
I did see that so congrats to the Werri crew. I was stoked to see Cabarita scored third place too.
